These ants are always on the flight when the weather is just suitable and local ant colonies swarm. At this period, the queen female will develop wings and fly in air along side with the male ants besides them. These ants travel some distance and they purposely move on flight in order to reproduce and establish a new colonies. As soon as the female has been mated by the male ants, the wings are removed and fall to the ground to look for the new colony that she can establish while the male fall and die. You can get rid of the flying ants in your house by killing the living ants that you come across with object or using newspaper to press it if and only if they a minute in quantity. Mix ½ teaspoon of honey, borax and NutraSweet and sprinkle on the mound that you see and by this reason the ants will carry poison back to their colonies underground and destroy the entire colony.

By these reason, the swarming will be permanently prevented from occurrence.
